STRANDED
Inspired by Homer's 'Odyssey'
In waves I'm trying
To find my way back home.
Stranded at the Gods' will,
Deceived by their false hopes.
And I stay down...
Been to Hell and back again...
Lost the wind to sail me home...
No one left but myself...
But they won't just let me die.
And I stay down...
White shores I see once more,
I'm stranded once again...
But this is not my land,
I do not know this sand...
Nymphs attend to me every day
(I do not care for this, I do not think it bliss),
But my mind is far away
(set on the land I crave, here I am just a slave).
Beauty incarnate Kalypso let go because I'd rather die.
Nothing you do will make me forget her, oh no, I'd rather die.
Last night I lost hope of seeing her again and I wanted to die.
You can force me to stay, you can keep me alive, but know I'd rather die.
Just let me go.
I don't want you.
She's all I want.
I don't love you.
Free, I continue my search
Towards the sunrise.
In this water desert
Lies my kingdom somewhere...
And I stay down...
